Ever since I was a young boy, I have been driven by two major passions: to build business excellence through the development of people and to fly helicopters. The latter being dreamlike for a young boy, growing up in Brooklyn, Cape Town, South Africa.
My entrepreneurial spirit and business drive first emerged when, at the age of 15, I started refurbishing second-hand vehicles and selling them at a marginal profit. At age 17 I wrote my first business plan and caught a train from Brooklyn to Cape Town CBD to promote my idea to the Small Business Development Corporation.
Over the past 36 years, I have honed my leadership and business-development skills in several industries such as Petrochemical, Fine Jewellery, Cosmetics, Retail, Warehousing, Logistics and all disciplines of manufacturing – process, machine and labour intensive. I am a natural Transformational Leader, visually processing the opportunities to navigate business in tough economic climates, always showing a keen interest in the development of tomorrows leaders. I've lead successful companies to world-class business benchmarks, both nationally and internationally, taking responsibility for global operations, setting up new ventures and driving profitability.
After driving excellence for many years I started moving some of my focus to the beauty of journeys within excellence. It was within this personal journey that I became fixated on, and passionate towards understanding the essence of excellence within human behaviour and development. In 2015, in line with my passion, “In search of the Essence of Excellence”, I furthered my studies and commenced with my postgraduate degree in Coaching and Behavioural Change, through the University of Reading (UK). It is through the course of this journey, that I developed my coaching model through a Transpersonal Coaching approach.
Coaching the whole person remains at the core of my philosophy.
My dynamic yet structured approach to coaching has sparked many coachees on their way towards their own personal levels of breakthrough and success.
I am married to Louise and have four children, Johannes, Jaydon, Louise and Andreas, and reside in Cape Town, South Africa.
